In Five Years is as clever as it is moving, the rare read-in-one-sitting novel you won’t forget.” —Chloe Benjamin, New York Times bestselling author of The Immortalists

Perfect for fans of Me Before You and One Day—a striking, powerful, and moving love story following an ambitious lawyer who experiences an astonishing vision that could change her life forever.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Dannie Kohan lives her life by the numbers.

She is nothing like her lifelong best friend—the wild, whimsical, believes-in-fate Bella. Her meticulous planning seems to have paid off after she nails the most important job interview of her career and accepts her boyfriend’s marriage proposal in one fell swoop, falling asleep completely content.

But when she awakens, she’s suddenly in a different apartment, with a different ring on her finger, and beside a very different man. Dannie spends one hour exactly five years in the future before she wakes again in her own home on the brink of midnight—but it is one hour she cannot shake. In Five Years is an unforgettable love story, but it is not the one you’re expecting.

Boring. Slow. Don’t recommend. I read A LOT and I am telling you there are other books worth your time— unfortunately this is not one of them.
  • Loved it so much

I loved this book, I could not put it down. The writing style is unique and beautiful. The whole idea of the flash forward five years is so intriguing and I was so invested in finding out what happened. The relationship between Dannie and her best friend Bella meant so much to me. I really feel like I know them both. I’ve never felt like that about a relationship in a book before. I was so invested in these characters and I know this book will stick with me for a long time. The story will surprise you and move you deeply. I highly recommend.

I wasn’t expecting a majority of the book to be about cancer treatment. Very very disappointing.

I read this book in a day and told my best friend she has to read it. It doesn’t get boring and will make you not want to put it down... fair warning.. the end will leave you crying, but it’s such a beautiful story of friendship and love. Definitely a must read.

I sampled the first 32 pages and fell in love with the story. I read the book within 24 hours. Couldn’t stop reading it. Although the book made me sad, I still really enjoyed reading it.
